Service Incident - Microsoft Azure - January 25, 2023

08:49 CET: We are seeing some errors in one of our services.

09:50 CET: Further investigation has shown that Microsoft Azure is currently experiencing a global incident with their Azure network infrastructure. Unfortunately, this has impacted our service and we are seeing delays when sending/receiving messages. We will continue to monitor the Azure incident and will post further updates as soon as possible.

10:30 CET: We are seeing that the Certainly platform is working as expected now, but we will continue to closely monitor its performance until Microsoft Azure resolves the incident on their side.

12:00 CET: Microsoft Azure has now confirmed that their network issue has been fully resolved. All services on our platform are working as expected, so this incident is considered resolved.

Root cause: The issue was caused by Microsoft Azure suffering a global incident affecting network connectivity. Our services are hosted on Microsoft Azure, and as a result of the incident, the services were not as responsive as expected.

While there was nothing we could have done to prevent this issue from occurring, we remain dedicated to catching these events, ensuring that customers are notified about such incidents as soon as possible.
